COVID-19 Guidelines

Adult Sport Guidelines

Please adhere to the following guidelines set forth by the State of PA to safely participate in all sports.

  • Be aware of the symptoms of COVID-19 
  • All who enter our facility are encouraged to sanitize or wash hands upon entry and upon completion of competition.  Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds as frequently as possible, or use hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
  • All who enter the building, spectators, players, and officials must comply with our mask policy (see below).
  • Players should maintain social distancing at all times possible, including in locker rooms and benches.
  • Players should self screen prior to arriving at the arena.  Anyone unable to do so can ask for a screening by our front desk staff.  Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 or higher, feel sick, or are sick must stay at home.  Any player showing symptoms will be set home immediately.
  • All athletes and officials must bring their own water bottles.  Team coolers and bottles are NOT permitted.  Our water fountain is NOT on as per state guidance, vending for individual use is available.
  • There will be no post game hand shakes to avoid unnecessary physical contact.
  • Absolutely NO gum chewing and anyone caught spitting will be immediately ejected and expelled from the league.
  • No equipment sharing and proper equipment disinfecting is expected between games.
  • Cover coughs or sneezes with a sleeve or elbow, not hands
  • Concessions will be closed until further notice.
  • SPECTATORS:  We HIGHLY DISCOURAGE Non Essential spectators.  At this time we are striving to keep our capacity for each rink to 25 or less to meet the state requirement for the green phase.  Spectators should be limited to those who can not get to the facility without assistance and for caregivers.  All spectators who do not live in the same household are expected to keep to safe 6 feet social distances.

Public Session Guidelines

The following are our guidelines for our Public Sessions:

  • Be aware of the symptoms of COVID-19 
  • All who enter our facility are encouraged to sanitize or wash hands upon entry and upon completion of competition.  Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds as frequently as possible, or use hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
  • All who enter the building, spectators, players, and officials must comply with our mask policy (see below).
  • Everyone should self screen prior to arriving at the arena.  Anyone unable to do so can ask for a screening by our front desk staff.  Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 or higher, feel sick, or are sick must stay at home.  Any player showing symptoms will be set home immediately.
  • No more than 25 participants are permitted in the facility at a time.
  • No more than 10 children are permitted in Marple Mountain at a time.
  • No more than 3 children will be permitted in bounce houses at a time. More may be allowed if from he same household.  
  • All participants whether it be skating, in Marple Mountain, or Bouncers must keep a safe social distance as best possible.  Those who do not will be ejected from the activity.
  • All participants in any of our physical activities must sanitize hands before using any equipment.
  • Absolutely no GUM chewing in the facility
  • Concessions stand will be closed until further notice.

Summer Camp Guidelines

All summer camp participants will be subject to the following guidelines

  • ABSOLUTELY NO PARENTS ARE PERMITTED IN THE BUILDING FOR ANY REASON.  Car line drop off and pick up will be used at all times to limit exposure.
  • Parents must be aware of the symptoms of COVID-19 .  Although we screen campers, please pre-screen your children at home as well.
  • All campers who enter our facility will sanitize or wash hands upon entry and frequently during the day, including before and after eating and at all physical stations.  Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds as frequently as possible, or use hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
  • All who enter the building should comply with our mask policy (see below).
  • Everyone entering the building including campers, counselors, CITs, and staff will be screened before entering the building.  This includes taking temperatures.  Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 or higher, feel sick, or are sick must stay at home.  Any player showing symptoms will be set home immediately.
  • Campers will only be permitted to interact with in their family groups.
  • Lunch and snack is held strictly by group, as well free time is now divided to keep campers in family groups only.
  • All Field Trips have been cancelled due to the inability to bus kids.
  • The pool has been cancelled to limit unknown exposure.

Mask Policy

All adults and children in our facility are encouraged to wear a cloth face covering with the following exceptions (Found in section 3 of PA Departments Health's Guidance).

  • Individuals who can not wear a mask due to a medical condition
  • Individuals for whom wearing a mask while working would create an unsafe condition
  • Individuals who can not properly put on and off a face covering without assistance

Due to HIPAA Laws, Individuals are not required to show documentation that an exception applies, therefor we can not ask.
